"Rail Europe is marking the 50th anniversary of its famed Eurail pass by rolling back prices to 1959 levels. But move fast: Savings are substantial and supplies are limited. A five-day, three-country pass will go for $125, which is more than 70% off the usual $442 price. The three countries must border one another, and travel must take place over a two-month period. The 1959 price promotion on www.raileurope.com will begin at 9 a.m. PDT Tuesday, while supplies last. The passes themselves are iconic to European travel. Generations of American college students have used them for backpacking across the continent during summer breaks or on post-college excursions."

I hope someone was able to take advantage of this. My friends tell me they sold out within hours. Is A Travel Friend a forum?
