I'll be travelling to Honduras in the end of June/beginning of July. Does anybody have some must see/do things? I'm planning on diving and going to Roatan. I'd love to do some hiking, etc. Thanks for the advice!!

Wed, February 20, 2008 - 11:10 AMGo to Utila. Unless you have something against all you can drink BBQs and fabulous young people and backpackers from all over the world. I went there for a week and got stuck for 4 months. Roatan is better for diving than Utila, but the Utilan vibe can't be beat. You can also go diving in Cayos Cochinos.
The northern coast isn't that great but there is good hiking, as it's very mountainous. You can explore La Mosquitia, and there is a large national park in the center of the country that is beautiful. I cannot remember the name of it at the moment.
